Today is Day One. By tonight, Ian and I will be in Portland, OR, but then where after that? For record’s sake, I’ve included the list of our destinations and their target dates. These places and dates are set in virtual text, not stone, so everything is subject to change. In fact, that was the original point. Fluidity. We’ll stay in a place longer if we like it, or jet sooner if we don’t. We’ll take detours and side trips. I’m sure we’ll be unwillingly stuck in a place at least once, for one reason or another.

Young Man Went East 
Seattle: We’ll fill you in on things to do while here but you may want to take a day trip up to British Columbia and the beautiful, european (and now charred…) accented City of Vancouver. Gots a lot of cities on that list but how about a hike and swim to a remote lake away from hwys and roads, where you can’t hear the buzz of humanity? For that matter, see the stars at night as they were meant to be seen? How about one of the most spectacular national parks on this planet – Yellowstone? And take a close look at 6/29-7/4 on the map ‘cuz you’ll be going back and forth hundreds of miles… But ultimately, whatever you guys do will be epic. We’re happy you’ve made this one of your stops and are completely jealous – this is a trip for the ages!
